Congratulations! You've begun installing the façade of your building. When should you contact Siteaware to begin Shell scans?
The ideal timing for shell scans is different based on the type of structure you are building.
Shell scans for Concrete/Steel Structures
Shell scans for concrete and steel structures should begin once the project reaches the vapor barrier stage of the exterior (or when the first panels are installed for curtainwall facades). The first scan will be scheduled in coordination with your customer success manager, according to the construction timeline, and will include a verification of the waterproofing installed to date and the structure. Siteaware will then conduct scans of the entire façade every two weeks until the installation is complete.

The frequency of the scans can be adjusted based on the pace of installation of your project. This will be discussed with your Customer Experience Manager during the kickoff the Shell Phase of your project.
Shell scans for Woodframe Structures
Siteaware's Shell Verification for Woodframe structures includes scans at 2 stages of construction.
- The Completion of the Dry-in Stage - When the vapor barrier installation is complete.
