User roles and permissions

Overview

The user management system allows you to control access and permissions for your team members across projects. This guide explains how to manage users and understand different roles in the system.

User Roles

Assign appropriate user roles based on their required access levels (see full list below)

• Roles help define what access a user has to the system.
• Users can have multiple roles in a project
• When multiple roles are assigned, the user gets all permissions from all roles

Basic roles

Each user should have at least one of the following, depending on their responsibility in the project. 

For example:

• A concrete trade might require two roles - Core trade and Shell trade, as they have responsibilities in both of these construction stages. 
• A superintendent only needs one role - Contributor, allowing them access to all project data across all staged performed. 

User roles	Main functionalities*	Who should get this?
Basic access	See As-builts and 360 Panorama, if available.	In a standard project, this might be the owner or anyone who needs access to basic documentation.
Observer	View all project data and observations, As-builts and 360 Panorama.	Any individual requiring view access to the project. In a standard project, this might be the owner or individuals from the GC that are not performing actions in the field.
Contributor	View and approve all project data and observations, As-builts and 360 Panorama.	Any individual requiring full access to the project. In a standard project, this might be individuals from the GC that are working in the job site.
Project Admin	Contributor with additional access to managing a project and it's users.	Similar to the contributor role, with additional permissions for managing a project’s users.
Company Admin	Contributor with additional access to managing a company, it’s users and tolerances	Similar to the contributor role, with additional permissions for managing a company's and project's users.
Core Trade	View all Core verification data and As-builts, edit observations and change their status to "For Review".	Core Trades
Interior Trade	View all Interior verification data and As-builts, edit observations and change their status to "For Review".	Interior Trades
Shell Trade	View all Shell verification data and As-builts, edit observations and change their status to "For Review".	Shell Trades

Additional roles

Only specific users in a project or company require these, depending on any additional responsibilities they may hold. These include user management, self capture, and other standalone views not required for standard users.
