General Requirements
The best way to ensure Siteaware has the most up-to-date drawings for each discipline is to provide access to the live models or field use documents in which the design changes are incorporated. Examples of sharing platforms include Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and box.com.
When possible, all drawings must be provided in .dwg format. If a Revit model is provided, it must either contain the project grids or be geo-located to the project's location. The model must also be formatted such that a .dwg can be extracted.
Every document provided to Siteaware including 3D models must either include the project gridlines or be geo-located in the project coordinate system so that an overlay can be achieved.
Any discipline that provides drawings in a PDF format will only be able to achieve a 1” tolerance and may result in that discipline's results being delayed.
All relevant drawings for each scan must be provided to Siteaware a minimum of 24 business hours before scan time. Any discipline that provides drawings after this time may result in that discipline's results being delayed.
Siteaware does not currently support Navisworks (.nwd) or Revisto models
Specific Discipline Requirements
Project Controls
A document showing where the on-deck control lines will be located (see below)
Project Survey
A .dwg file containing the project gridlines geometrically located in the site's State Plane coordinate system
Please specify which adjustment of the State Plane system your project is working in.
A project survey is not required for projects measuring coordinates with a Total Station in the project's local coordinate system. Instead, the project must provide the local origin of their coordinate system (i.e. intersection A-1 is 10000,5000)
For projects located in Texas please also provide the project's plan-to-grid factor. The plan-to-grid factor accounts for the fact that the world is round but is measured as if it were flat, it usually begins with 0.999xxxxx and can be provided by the surveyor
Architectural Plans
A .dwg file that shows the location of all internal and external walls to allow for clash detection.
Structural Plans
A .dwg file that shows the location of the: Slab Edges, Beams, Joists, Columns/Walls, Openings (If there is more than one plan that should be used to verify these elements, please note this with the plans to ensure proper verification)
For sloping columns please indicate which plan and floor level should be used for verification
PT Tendons
A .dwg file (or PDF if one cannot be attained) showing the location of each tendon or band of tendons with the quantity of tendons in each band.
Embed Plans
A .dwg (or series of .dwg) file(s) that show the proposed location of each embed. Plans should show maximum allowable spacing.
If possible, a slightly different notation or color should be used where a bottom and top of slab embed coincide.
Plumbing/Mechanical/Fire Protection Plans
A .dwg file showing the location of each sleeve penetration (risers/drains), chase or beam sleeve with either the project gridlines or an architectural background
Plumbing Plan
Fire Protection Plan
Electrical Plan
A .dwg file showing the location of each sleeve penetration or chase as well as the location of all boxes, stub-ups, hangers, etc. with either the project gridlines or an architectural background
