Drone Capture Checklist

Preflight Checks (while in office/trailer):

1. Verify the drone, controller, and spare batteries are fully charged.
2. Clean the lens of the drone.
3. Confirm a fast SD card is inserted in the drone (minimum 64G, V30 or U3)
4. Verify that total station readings have been taken of GCPs and, if not done yet, upload them to Siteaware via the CaptureApp.
5. Review the mission plan prepared by Siteaware and notify your CXM if there are obstacles missing or if the mission doesn’t cover the entire pour area.
6. Check the current airspace regulations.

Once on the Deck:

1. Verify that a minimum of 5 SiteAware GCPs are visible on the deck.
2. Go to the takeoff point
3. Verify that the controller is connected to the internet and that there is an RTK fix. 

4. RTK is white 

   

Capture Images

1. Start the mission.
2. Stay alert and visually follow the drone during the entire flight to avoid any obstacles that may enter the drone’s path. 

Post-scan Checklist (From the Field):

1. Land the Drone
2. Turn the Controller and Drone OFF

Upload Images 

1. Remove the SD card from the drone and place it in the controller.
2. Using the CaptureApp upload the images to the relevant scan. 

3. Charge the controller and used batteries so they are ready for the next scan.
